Jonathan Stow

Graduate Level Intern

Jonathan Stow is a Graduate Level Intern completing his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC. His therapeutic work is grounded in an existential orientation that emphasizes responsibility, resilience, and the pursuit of meaning in life.

Jonathan believes that life’s hardships are not merely obstacles to overcome, but invitations to grow. He works primarily with adults facing struggles such as addiction, trauma, isolation, and the painful disorientation of feeling dissatisfied or directionless. His approach invites clients to courageously confront the biggest challenges in their lives and, together, to begin the slow, steady work of reclaiming the peace of mind that everyone deserves.

Having lived through both exhilarating highs and crushing lows, Jonathan brings not only clinical insight but deep personal understanding and empathy.  He can personally attest to the positive effect that a skilled therapist can have on one’s life, and he is ready to meet you wherever you are in your journey.

Jonathan lives in Washington, DC, with his wife and more pets than he’d care to admit.

Jonathan is a Graduate Level Intern and is working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. He works under the supervision of Dr. Michael Deitz, LPC, and Director of Graduate Fieldwork. In the event that clients have any questions or concerns about Jonathan’s work, his supervisor can be contacted at drdeitz@healthyminds-therapy.com or by phone at (540) 845-6940.
