Karin Cassidy is a Resident in Counseling with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She approaches therapy from a holistic perspective, viewing each client within the full context of their life experiences, relationships, values, and stage of development.

Karin brings a warm, empathetic, and collaborative style to her work. She is committed to evidence-based practices and believes in creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore challenges, identify unhelpful patterns of thinking, and develop meaningful, sustainable coping strategies. Her clinical approach integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), cognitive-behavioral Therapy, and strengths-based interventions.

Karin has a particular interest and experience collaborating with individuals navigating post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), alcohol and substance use concerns, and stage-of-life issues. She is enthusiastic about helping clients move through challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding, so they can build lives that feel more aligned and meaningful.

Karin provides services in person in Fredericksburg and via telehealth.
