Molly Sykes

Molly Sykes, Resident in Counseling

Resident in Counseling

I am a dedicated Resident in Counseling on the Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure track. I graduated with a bachelor’s in psychology from James Madison University and continued on to earn a master’s in counseling from Virginia Commonwealth University.

I began my career in a community mental health setting, which showed me the importance of holistic care that considers the systems in which clients are part of. My clinical approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and empowerment using evidenced-based modalities including CBT, DBT, and ACT. I am confident in my ability to support a wide range of mental health challenges, and I am well-versed in early adulthood challenges and life transitions, women’s issues, ADHD, depression, and anxiety.

Drawing from my emphasis on holistic care, I consider the mind-body connection in the exploration of life’s experiences and strive to establish strong, working relationships with others. I value creating a safe, affirming space for clients of various backgrounds to explore, heal, and thrive.
