Resident in Counseling
Violet Cerritelli is a Resident in Counseling providing both Telehealth and in-person therapy sessions at Healthy Minds Therapy. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Sacred Heart University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marymount University.
Violet has experience working with a variety of demographics, specializing in the areas of mood disorders, self-esteem, peer relations, body image, eating disorder recovery, life transitions, and career development. She enjoys working with teens and adults. She additionally has experience working with multicultural clients, providing bilingual counseling in Spanish.
When working with clients, Violet utilizes a holistic, person-centered, and strength-based approach, emphasizing a compassionate, warm, and collaborative relationship in therapy to empower clients in their mental health journey.
Violet aims to create a space where clients feel safe and comfortable in sessions, encouraging self-exploration and self-expression, to help resolve core issues, to help foster growth, and to instill hope in clients’ lives. Violet enjoys incorporating mindfulness approaches, expressive arts, and cognitive behavioral exercises to empower clients.
Violet is a Resident in Counseling and is working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia. She works under the supervision of Christy Heyn, LPC.
