My therapist at http://truetherapy.org/services/depression suggested this treatment to me yesterday because I have some unresolved issues from my childhood that I need to address. Excited yet terrified, but also eager to get things back to normal.
Hello Jack, thank you for taking the time to write such an informative article about the phases of EMDR. Your dedication to sharing effective treatment options for mental health issues is truly inspiring. Your article has not only helped me understand the phases of EMDR but has also opened my eyes to its potential benefits for multiple mental health issues. Keep up the great work and thank you for making a positive impact in the mental health community.
This is exactly the “distinction dovetail” I needed to hear. I have a cold Freudian counselor who hammered me for failing to set adequate boundaries and made me feel very bad for being “vulnerable” – a word which he stretched out and gave me a disapproving “side-eye” stare when he said it. I had been seeing him for stress of taking in a homeless, slightly emotionally disabled deaf man – for two years now. I would feel better if I could feel/sense he were actually compassionate himself.

Do you (Jasmine) do online counseling at all?
