Relationships are integral to well-being and human life. To be informed on the systemic level is to be informed on the individual level. Even those clinicians who do not counsel couples have the knowledge to gain from this continuing education opportunity. This training will provide a brief introduction to the Gottman Method couple’s therapy. It will seek to provide clinicians with a general understanding of core tenets and techniques used in relationship counseling. Clinicians will be informed on common goals for couples/marriage therapy and applicable terminology. They will leave training with greater insight into how to be compassionate, informed, and inspirational to clients experiencing interpersonal distress or
dissatisfaction within their relationships. The instructor will review research-based statistics in the field as well as present a fictitious case conceptualization from start to finish. It will also provide resources for
clinicians to further their learning and knowledge independently.
Once registered, a follow-up email will be provided with additional details as well as the Zoom dial-in details.
