Licensed Professional Counselor
Elizabeth Perry accepts each client for who they are and where they are in their journey. She believes every person is the expert of their own life, while recognizing that at times, we all need support to navigate challenges. Using a warm, person-centered, and collaborative approach, Elizabeth creates a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences and work toward meaningful change.
Elizabeth offers in-person sessions at our Alexandria, VA office as well as telehealth support. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing techniques to help clients meet their treatment goals. She has experience supporting adults, teens, and families, and has worked in PHP (Partial Hospitalization) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient) settings, specializing in mood and anxiety disorders. She also provides affirming care for individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community.
In addition, Elizabeth has a specialty in pet loss and grief counseling. She understands the profound bond people share with their companion animals, and she offers compassionate support for those grieving the loss of a beloved pet, creating space to honor that connection and heal in their own time.
