Licensed Professional Counselor
Shree is a Licensed Professional Counselor, approved by the Virginia Board of Counseling. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health and Addiction Counseling from The College of William & Mary. Shree has extensive experience supporting teens, college students, and adults as they navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, addiction, stress, low self-esteem, life transitions, academic challenges, relationship concerns, identity development, and intergenerational family trauma.
With a deep passion for working with 1st and 2nd generation immigrants, BIPOC, and the South Asian community, Shree strives to create a safe, welcoming, and culturally sensitive space for all her clients. She has facilitated group sessions on topics like addressing addiction, building teen self-esteem, and empowering parents to discuss ethnicity and race with their children.
Shree believes in the power of a strong therapeutic relationship, built on trust, empathy, and a non-judgmental approach. She understands how overwhelming it can feel to take the first step toward healing and personal growth and is dedicated to creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Her approach to counseling is holistic, recognizing all aspects of a client’s experience rather than focusing solely on presenting concerns. Shree tailors each session to align with her clients’ unique goals and needs, using evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.
